what is n if (n+2)(n-3)=5/2?

Given the
equation:

(n+2)(n-3) = 5/2

To solve, first we will open
the brackets:

==> n^2 + 2n - 3n - 6 = 5/2

==> n^2 -
n - 6 = 5/2

Now we will multiply by 2:

==> 2n^2 - 2n -
12 = 5

Now we will subtract 5 from both sides:

==> 2n^2
- 2n -12 -5 = 0

==> 2n^2 - 2n - 17 = 0

Now we will use
the formula to...
